What Users Love About the App
“Storybird is an amazing app to learn, improve, and gain confidence as a writer. Although geared to school age children it is for all ages including adults. It is a very positive, moderated, and safe website.”
“The app is, in my opinion, one of the best things Storybird has done. Yes, there are one or two things that are different than the website, but it is easier to use than the website when I’m on my phone. This has really helped my writing.”
“It’s so much fun because you can write books and read books. The only thing is you have to be a member to submit a book. You can earn stuff well you have to do stuff. you have to sign in to do suff.”
“Awesome for writing have been using it for years now and when I saw mobile version, I can use it when I’m not home very nice app.”
“Storybird is beyond amazing! I’ve been using it for almost two years now, and let me just say, everything about it is perfect.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“Incredibly disappointed to see that I have to pay to do anything on the app. It used to be completely free and honestly much better in terms of app design. I used to love the app and company but now I’m just sad.”
“Honestly, this used to be a really good website. But now, all they want is money. You can’t post things without a ticket (which requires money).”
“My mom subscribed so I could write books. But then a few months later I tried starting a new story and it wanted me to subscribe again. So I asked my mom and she was able to fix it. So I started one new book and then when I went to write another new book it did the subscribe thing again!”
“The app itself is not what I was expecting. However some of these problems carryover onto the website. For example, the stories on the featured page haven’t changed for years. The bully club has been there since before I became a member of Storybird in 2018.”
“I hate how you have to have a membership to do anything. You could write a picture book and do so many challenges. I can’t even write a chapter book! Now you have to have a membership to do anything as I’ve said before.”
