What Users Love About the App
“This is my new favourite app! I find it super effective when I use it with my Galaxy buds. I have always struggled to meditate, slow down and bring myself back to baseline. Not only has it helped me, it is a great tool for in the classroom and in my relationship.”
“I highly recommend this app. Mindfulness is so important to all people as we navigate a world of non-stop stimulation and need. Learning to slow down and respond instead of reacting. Self care and safe compassion are a key to a well balanced life.”
“Found out about Smiling Mind from a school meditation program and it’s been my go-to meditation app ever since. Really love the new UI too. The old, clunky interface was one of the only reasons I’d use other apps, but now I have nothing to complain about.”
“This really helps me a lot. I use it 3 or more times a day. Normally I use it When I wake up and I have a reminder set for 7 pm and then I use the sleep meditation when I am ready to sleep it really helps me sleep. It helps me ground myself and stop feeling panicky.”
“My favourite mindfulness and meditation app to use, after almost 2 years of use before this review. Really support the work they do for adults and young people alike.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“None of the programs are working Whenever I click on a lesson to play nothing happens. For example, I tried to play a lesson from the Mindfulness Foundation – Exploring the breath. When the screen comes up with the play button – nothing happens – the lesson doesn’t play.”
“I used to love this app, but all of a sudden it’s playing the wrong mindfulness session when I chose a certain exercise. I tried the body scan bubble journey and it played the daily mindfulness guide instead, and it’s happened with most others as well, but the female voice sometimes works.”
“Downloaded this on phone and was excited to try it and then went to sign in on laptop for bigger screen usage. Email was not recognized at all (only place on the planet to not recognize my email after initially recognizing it) and then I couldn’t access it on my phone either. Dismal experience.”
“Another new update and still no fix to my problem. Was hopeful the new update would fix the original problem but nope. Still cuts out. Dropped to 1 star now. Used to love this app… but am now looking for a new one. Fix ASAP.”
“It has a major bug that stops it from working. Each exercise you complete has to be registered by the app as complete before you can do the next. Unfortunately the app generally doesn’t recognize that you have completed the exercise, so you have to play it repeatedly (usually 3 times) before the app allows you to.”
