Product Review of Sites in VR

Sites in VR allows learners to explore famous landmarks from the classroom or their own home. This app primarily focuses on Islamic temples, tombs, and ancient cities; however, there is also an outer space component. Landmarks from Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Morocco, Kuwait, Yemen, Macedonia, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, and Greece are included. If you’ve always imagined your history or social studies learners touring through the pyramids of Egypt or the Colosseum in Rome, this app can fulfill that wish. Sites in VR includes more than 1,000 high-quality panoramic images and promises that “you will feel as if you are there…”

What Users Love About the App
“Just a lovely little app, lets me explore places I’ll never get to. I love the walk through prompts that take you from room to room. Works smoothly even on my bargain basement tablet.”
“This app demonstrates how any smartphone can be used for vr, not only the latest and greatest phones! I wish other programmers can learn from the creators of this app! Excellent app!”
“I like it. Its not too hard to use and it feels like your there. Its good if you what to visit a place or something else since I don’t know what else to write but its worth trying.”
“Wonderful! This is one of my favorite apps. I have spent hours in it just perusing the different places you can visit. It is so much fun, especially for me, who cant travel right now. I have had such a good time looking at everything, I cant get enough.”
“Surprisingly worked with my phone. I wasn’t expecting much but I put my phone in my Google cardboard and sure enough they found a way to do it. Tilt head side to side (rotating the phone) instead of naturally looking around.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“This clearly needs updating to work with the modern larger 6.5″ phone screens. I spent 30 minutes mucking about in the settings, but when I click on the VR button, the centre bar was always offset to the centre of the screen making the app unusable.”
“Doesnt work with Samsung Note 5 and the Gear VR. Phone requires that it is plugged i to USB port on the Gear for the phone to stay in place. When plugged into the usb port, you cannot access normal apps from the play store. Uninstalled.”
“The sites are dull and boring. It’s very laggy and it sometimes doesn’t turn. If I put the scene on full scene it takes me off the app or the site. Improve it please.”
“Dreadful, there is a huge unmovable warning about the screen turning, obscuring most of the image and directly in front of the vr view. The sites are obscure and uninteresting, (I’ve never even heard of most of the places.)”
“IT do not work properly , i use domo enhance and it do not detect even after scanning the code.”
