What Users Love About the App
“I downloaded this app about a week ago and held off giving it a review as I wanted to see how my little boy would do with it. He LOVES this app. It grabbed his attention with the positive reinforcement on correct answers and the buzzer sounds when he made a mistake made him giggle.”
“I have been reading the questions aloud to my autistic son, instead of using the recorded voice. I like that option a LOT. We need him to focus on a human face speaking, and this is a great way.”
“I have used this wonderful app for a several months to create my own speech and language lessons for my special needs preschoolers, most of whom have autism. As a speech-language pathologist, it is extremely important that I have the option to create very specific lessons, and this app offers this feature.”
“The starter set gives you a good feel for what you can do with this app. You can use the included lessons to pick out objects or concepts eg pick the fruit or touch the body part that is on your face. The real beauty of the app comes in though when you start building your own lessons.”
“This is a very well designed app. From a teacher’s perspective, it provides great flexibility to customize lessons for each student. You can easily build a core lesson and duplicate it and modify it to suit each child. I LOVE the fact that this is a FREE app and that you can purchase only libraries you need.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“I have 3 iPads and I can’t figure out how to have access to the lessons I create across all of my iPads. Is this possible?”
“It would be VERY cool to also have the ability to add therapy comments and email session results to parents. Though I enjoy using this app, as a school-based therapist, I would LOVE to have it do more data collection!”
“My only issue with it is a new one, none of the pictures are coming up. I can’t use the app now! Any suggestions or updates?”
“My only complaint about this app is that when I am customizing a lesson, I can’t rearrange the exercises or have them presented randomly. My students will often just memorize the order of the cards so every couple days I am changing the order of the lessons.”
“I don’t see any way to import my own pictures. That would be a huge help. I’d be willing to pay for a version of this app that supported importing pictures.”
