Product Review of SchoolStatus

A unique solution that aggregates a district’s learner data, such as state assessments, attendance, behavioral infractions, and classroom grades in an easy to visualize format. It then makes the data easily accessible to educators, principals, district leaders and pairs with communication tools to facilitate sharing actionable information with parents via call, text, and email.

What Users Love About the App
“The most helpful thing to me on School Status is the ability to send messages to multiple students at once. I have used this tool on multiple occasions. I also love the ability to attach a photo.”
“SchoolStatus allows those in education to communicate with parents in multiple ways. It allows the educator to use it to record and document conversations with parents or guardians. This can be used to show documentation of contact with them or to ensure that evidence of contact is made.”
“I love all the features it has to offer including sending our broadcast to large groups or specific individuals, I love how I can see everything in one place about a student’s attendance, grades, assessments (Accelerated Reader, I-ready, etc. I like how I can email, text, or call the parents/ guardians of the students from one place and it records it.”
“As a teacher, I really enjoyed the texting option because many times parents will not answer because of the non-local number from SchoolStatus. I also love the new update about broadcasting!”
“School Status is one of the best tools for teachers I have ever used. School status stays updated with all the current contact information. You do not have to waste time running down numbers.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“The student photos do not automatically update each school year or periodically throughout the year.”
“Sometimes when making phone calls to parents they do not answer. This is because it is an unknown number. But, after a message is left then they usually can call back and make contact.”
“I wish the app had more components or features that the computer program offers. Sometimes I need to pull something up quickly and do not want to have to go to the website.”
“As a teacher, I did not like having to manually “star” each important contact for the broadcasting option. I teach math to ALL fifth graders. I had to manually select, or “star”, over 100 contacts.”
“I wish there was an option to print engagement by the user. Sometimes, I would like to have this to include in my counselor activity binder.”
