What Users Love About the App
“I am grateful to have been exposed to these kinds of programs that showed the full spectrum of humanity performing the full spectrum of human things. I think Mr. Burton and his peers on those shows taught me humanism before I even understood what humanism was.”
“I loved growing up watching Reading Rainbow! It was so fun and my favorite show next to Mr. Rogers to watch! I was so blessed to grow up when I did. I feel like there isn’t anything out there these days as good as those 2 shows for kids.”
“When I was a kid, I would watch this TV show relentlessly. It showed me what reading could bring you – creativity, ideas, theories, culture, enrichment in literature, history and sciences. Reading Rainbow painted the picture of my love to read now, and the importance of learning in today’s society.”
“This was my favorite back in the 1980´s and 90´s when I was little. I always use to watch it when ever it goes on Tv. Reading rainbow was for kids and for all ages. Reading Rainbow was to help kids learn about how to know ways to grow by teaching with a book about life.”
“My whole family watched this show growing up, thanks to Levar Burton my siblings and I were able to experience and cultivate the love of reading and storytelling on a level beyond what any public school could offer us. I am especially thankful to have had Levar Burton, a person of color, as a role model for learning and creativity.”
