Product Review of Quento

This math puzzle game is designed to give the user the answer but leave it up to them to do the math behind the answer. Players swipe from a number to + or – to another number; they earn stars when their swipe adds up to any of the given answers. The goal in the game is to unlock every star and proceed to the next round. After the player progresses through a few rounds, a new level called the PLAY MODE is unlocked. Quento is a derivative of the word “Cuenta” in Spanish, which means “sum” or “count.” The second base word is “quintet,” which means “group of five” in Latin because the game board has five numbers.

What Users Love About the App
“I love this app, and so does my son. He comes and asks me if we can play “Quento”. Here he practices math without realizing he’s doing it! And he’s getting better.”
“I’ve been playing this game for at least 4 years now and I don’t plan on stopping. It’s simple yet fun and I haven’t managed to get tired of it yet.”
“Overall the game is really fun and a great game to play when waiting around! But also I must make you all aware! This game is addicting! The game is amazing!”
“This is a breath of fresh air. Simple idea, simple but tasteful graphics, still exercises my brain. Very slick idea sneaking the tutorial in there and the IAP to unlock the full version is good as well, get me hooked and let me buy the whole thing.”
“This app is a GREAT way to practice math and thinking while having fun at the same time!!!!! I love this game, and it’s a must-have. GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
What Users Dislike About the App
“It’s technically free, though you only get about five moves before you have to pony up the money to continue. Don’t bother installing; downloading takes longer than you get to play.”
“Game disappears from screen constantly, leaving blank black background… Can’t even read game rules, very disappointed.”
“It gives you a number with which you have to do addition or subtraction to get using the numbers on the screen. However, you have to use the exact combination of numbers that it wants or you can’t advance.”
“Really boring It’s ok at first… But you can’t expect much from the game… It’s just simple math.”
“The interface isn’t as responsive as I would have expected. For instance, if you touch one of the buttons, it won’t necessarily register completely. The button will flicker, but then you will have to tap the button again.”
