Product Review of Naming Therapy

This app helps people with aphasia and kids with special needs to practice important naming and description skills. It was designed for both personal and professional uses by speech-language pathologists. The app contains beautiful images, real voice, and full personalization features with more than 700 words. You can also practice naming with over 400 photographs accompanied by clues. You can customize the tests by adding your photos and hints and assigning appropriate scores. The app keeps a record of which clue led you to choose the correct answer; reports are generated and sent to you via email.

What Users Love About the App
“I originally bought this app to 1. get a better idea of how Tactus TherAppy apps performed, and 2. use it in presentations for speech-language pathology graduate students. I quickly realized how useful the app would be in my job as an itinerant speech-language therapist for preschoolers.”
“My wife had a stroke in March 2011 and has moderate-severe expressive aphasia. This app is quite good for helping her recover her speech. It is professionally done and is easy to use. The price is reasonable.”
“I float around between multiple assisted living and skilled nursing buildings as well as home health with my iPad always in my bag. This is by far the app I use most for adults with aphasia as well as those in our dementia units to name functional objects, this app is second best to real objects!”
“I had put off purchasing this app for a while because I didn’t want to spend the money. When I finally caved, I was SO glad I did! This app has been great for both my pediatric as well as geriatric clients. There are so many options and ways to customize that you can really use it for just about anyone!”
“My husband had a stroke earlier this year and I searched all over looking for apps that I could use on my iPad and found Therapy! We used this naming one on a daily basis and even recommended it to our speech therapist to use for her patients. Thank you for making such a wonderful app & series.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“Many of my patients are African American or Hispanic. They are already struggling with their language concepts post-stroke. Not having images consistent with their own experience doesn’t help would give it a higher rating except for this.”
