Product Review of Mr. Word

Mr. Word is a fun and challenging word game with lots of possibilities. If you choose the one-player mode, you can choose a difficulty level (easy, medium, or hard) and compete against the computer (Mr. Word himself). You will choose words that you would use in real life and try to trip up Mr. Word. The longer he takes, the better you are doing. If you are feeling extra competitive, you can choose the two-player mode and play with friends. This is a great way to get your brain moving, and learn new vocabulary.

What Users Love About the App
“I love this scrabble game! The graphics are brilliant. Having the dictionary at hand has been very educational for me, too.”
“I really like this game. I think it may be the only scrabble-type game that allows you to play the device directly. Can be a challenging and good exercise for the brain!”
“Love that the board rotates especially for the iPad players! No other word game for two players has a rotating board.”
“I probably play this at least once a day on the medium setting. It is fun to regularly win at this level.”
“Have loved this game and its features. I get a kick out of the computer making comments that have my husband saying “you let her talk to you like that?” Keep up the good work.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“Getting tired of Mr. Word just throwing the game by intentionally not trying to win and other times blocking every moves his opponent could make. Are the ads formatted to see how upset the player could be made?”
“Need a way to challenge MrWord when he does not recognize a legitimate word, like orzo. Need to not allow MrWord to use archaic words – not playing fair.”
“I bought the no ads app for my iPad. Now when I try to use Mr. Word on my iPhone, I am told I already have a subscription for no ads. I get ads on the phone. I don’t mind paying for no ads again on my iPhone but the app won’t let me. HELP.”
“Both the medium and hard modes and when I am about to score higher points, The game computer gives me very bad choices (lots of A,O,E,I,U) and accordingly forces me to quit the game.”
“The problem is I think the creator is probably foreign because Mr. Word doesn’t know commonly used words like sushi, or quo.. but will write and accept misspellings. I can’t figure out why he knows some words in French, but won’t accept many English words. So, I’m not paying for this app– I have a free version–please revamp with Websters or Oxford dictionary.”
