Product Review of Love To Count by Pirate Trio

This mathematical app helps kids match mathematical solutions and real-life scenarios. This game allows kids ages four to seven to practice basic mathematical concepts while developing other quantitative skills. Tasks get harder as the kids progress from one stage to another, and kids earn in-game rewards as they progress. This app allows educators to keep track of learner progress as they learn mathematics.

What Users Love About the App
“This is a great app for teaching 1-10 number sense. It has a pirate storyline and theme. The app features 10 games that are continually recycled in an interesting and engaging way.”
“The games are thoughtfully designed to be ever so slightly increasing in challenge as the number of tasks completed increases from 1-700. There are also prizes to be collected along the way. This is done in a subtle way as to not overpower the game with gaming, but to keep the focus on learning.”
“This app has just the right amount of themes and rewards to be interesting to children, while providing them with great learning opportunities. This is a must have preschool app for teaching 1-10 number concepts.”
“I think this is a wonderful app for My child with special needs who is a visual learner. I love that you can touch objects while counting and the object makes a sound when you click on it.”
“I was looking for a math/numbers app for my kids that went beyond learning and counting numbers, but didn’t expect them to have strong addition and subtraction skills. I appreciate the way this app encourages children to use logic to learn – who knew young children could learn fractions!”
What Users Dislike About the App
“There is no sound on this app. I’m not sure if this is a glitch or not, since there is a spot to adjust the volume – but it doesn’t do anything. This does not work for the targeted age range whatsoever. I feel totally ripped off.”
“When I pressed the correct button it did not always accept the answer. My suggestion was to add some written instructions on the parts where you move a number of items down to (for instance, make a longer necklace).”
