What Users Love About the App
“I think I’ve been a learning ally client since 1982 or something when they called it recording for the blind. I like this app and it’s pretty friendly and you can explore it and add books and remove books in and out of your collection. It stays logged in all the time.”
“Both of my kids are dyslexic. This app/program has helped to inspired them and given them a desire to read. Something that was difficult is now fun for them. They ask to read! Thank you!!!!”
“Its really nice, you can even write notes in the book you are reading. My class are using this app. So my Teacher doesn’t have to read us a chapter book, learning ally can help my teacher.”
“I am 10 and this app is amazing. It helps me read any graphics novel I want. It even has big hits like harry Potter and Percy Jackson. It is amazing and I recommend.”
“My son has been using this app for 1 year. It has been wonderful for him. I love that it highlights the sentence that is being read aloud. This app has a good selection of books that he gets excited about.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“The servers are down a decent amount of time, because of that I am not able to read my book that I want. It takes them a decent amount of time to get it up and running again.”
“There are some pretty weird bugs, like it will randomly skip back one sentence or 1 page and just keep playing the same para over and over again intel I go back to the app and select the next paragraph.”
“This may be the worst app I have ever personally used. Unfortunately, the speed of the app keeps decreasing to less than 1x normal speed. Navigating is a bit of a chore for the legally blind. I’m very frustrated!”
“The service is vital but the app itself is terrible. It’s definitely something that if I didn’t *need* it so bad I wouldn’t use it *because* of the app. The app is glitchy and rereads the same pages over and over, shut off at random times.”
“Buggy and frustrating. For paying over 100 dollars for a 1 year subscription, the app is useless. It skips and jumps back in the text every few minutes. It is maddening to the listener and there seems to be no fix.”
