What Users Love About the App
“I like the way it has brought both the students, parents and the lecturers together, am able to keep students contacts and keep track of their progress and able to give rewards for my students progress.”
“Kickboard was useful for not only daily classroom tasks such as taking attendance and behavior management, but also for tracking data and following students’ progress. I was able to input grades and track how the student progressed throughout the semester.”
“I like how easy it is to add points for different categories for each student. I teach over 2400 students between my 6th and 7th graders. I have to input points every single day for each one of them. There are also an unlimited amount of way you can set up the points you want for them and how many teachers can add points.”
“I love that I can reward good behaviors! We as educators tend to focus on the negative behaviors. With kickboard, not only can I reprimand a student, but I can also give rewards quickly for positive behaviors.”
“I like that I can easily document demerits (the term used for behavior issues) easily each day. I have access to the student rosters and student behavior totals as well.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“While it is easy to input points it is extremely difficult to delete points that I gave students accidentally. I wish Kickboard could make an adjustment to their website to make this process easier. The overall layout may seem confusing when it comes to a classroom of 30 students who I have extended their daily points as well.”
“Kickboard does not provide real-time updates about what is happening with our kids, so it hasn’t been a fit for the school. The school went back to Jumprope and uses PBIS along with it rather than Kickboard.”
“There isn’t a native iOS/mobile app (though one is apparently in development). As a teacher, I found it challenging to enter demerits and merits via Kickboard’s mobile website while teaching.”
“It would be nice if students could access it and track their own grades and progress. Could be complicated to keep track of all data when you are changing classes and subjects.”
“You cannot give more than one type of point to a student at the same time.”
