What Users Love About the App
“The overall modular approach lets many different instructors approach setting up classes differently. It’s great for structuring your core classes to be consistently organized every semester. The system and software is easy to use for the instructors to setup with varying levels of tech experience. The students also like the organization and consolidated resources.”
“The Kannu LMS continues to be a great tool that helps me to help for my students. The platform has the flexibility to format my courses the way I want to teach them. The process of creating a course on Kannu helps me to think through what I want to my students to learn and how I can guide them through the learning process”
“Kannu provides an easy to use and responsive interface for student learning, assessment, and online community. Plus it comes with features that are essential for people working with technology and media, such as the ability to work with program code, video, sound, etc.”
“This LMS is the best to deal with media content. Given how pervasive these often heavy audio / video / media files are, Kannu is handling it best. The online galleries are second to none too.”
“Kannu support is top notch. I’ve always gotten a prompt and thorough reply and I can tell that my input is making a difference in the direction of the product. Kannu makes it very easy to manage student submissions, which is a big deal for us because our projects have complex and varied deliverables.”
What Users Dislike About the App
‘The Session Media portion seems a bit clunky to me–I haven’t found a good use for it yet. However, this is trivial compared to the rest of the system.”
“I want better instructor support. There’s delayed or no response to support tickets/requests. There’s no chat or ability to call and TALK WITH A HUMAN to resolve problems. Students had problems with uploading coursework. I had problems with posting comments, critiques, and grades.”
“Video upload & processing could take quite a long time. When setting up repeats of a course, every element needed the dates manually changed and publishing.”
“It is not as customisable as Moodle/Blackboard. For instance, group submissions are not supported as far as I’m aware.”
“Cloning a course for an intake can be a little fiddly, and it’s not possible to set Session Release dates relative to the course start – they all have to be adjusted manually”
