Product Review of itSeez3D

Scan your family and friends and anything you would like to capture in 3-D such as bags, shoes, toys, and so on with this mobile 3-D scanner. This is done with the use of iPad with the Occipital’s Structure Sensor to capture color and structure any information before processing them into 3-D models. You can then share it on sketchfab.com from the app and become a member of the 3-D community.

What Users Love About the App
“The results of this app are near unbelievable. Having used a number of different 3D scanning apps for iOS, this (along with the Structure Sensor) is the new standard by which all others will be judged.”
“Excellent software. I have an isense because I did not find out about the structure sensor in time. I was locked into their software and literally never made it produce a good scan. This app succeeded within ten minutes. Highly recommended.”
“Very reliable scans in questionable lighting, iPad 12.9” 6th gen and Occipital Structure scanner. Great so far.”
“We used this to scan a client’s head to then graft onto a dancing body using Adobe Mixamo, 3DSMax, and AfterEffects. The scan was perfect for what we were using it for. I hope to see updates with even higher res textures and models to really push the Structure sensor.”
“Great customer support, had a problem and they were able to go above and beyond to help fix it. Thanks.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“You can only see the quality of model can only be seen by exporting it and exporting costs 7 dollars per export. Incredibly expensive for a slight improvement. I would buy this if it was a paid app but this predatory pricing model makes it impossible to recommend and I’m not sure who this apps market is for with this price.”
“When I open to scan whole body option instead of the square it gives me the red oval which make it very difficult to work with. When it finally turns green, click the scan button and it stop working instead of letting me move around the person I want to scan.”
“It’s charging me 7 dollars to just export one thing. I am not even selling anything so if I want to scan and print my own stuff I have to pay, which I will not be doing.”
“I’ve travelled to Rome to scan like 90 ancient statues for my app.. haven’t used this app in a while. Now I wanted to export, and the cost outweighs the cost of the Structure Sensor and my trip Combined!! Will trash this otherwise great app and its greedy owner wherever I go and present!”
“Having to pay $7 to take the scan out of the app is ludicrous. We, the users of this app, already paid $300-$400 for the scanner that works with this app (structure sensor) I would be willing to pay $1-$2 max for scan exports, (since their servers are doing the work) but not $7.”
