HiNative is an app specifically designed to ask questions about any language you want and get answers from real native speakers around the world. You can ask questions such as, “How do you say this in German?” “What’s the difference between these two words?” “Is my pronunciation correct?” You can also teach other users about your native language and the uniqueness. What Users Love About the App
“This has become one of favourite apps for language learning. I used to have sooo many unanswered questions about languages I learn and using that app I got all the answers I needed.”
“Just came by to say thank you! I can’t thank you enough. With this app and the help of native speakers, my language skills improve tremendously. I had been questioning to myself, and never got any answer for a long time. I am so grateful the world has such an application.”
“This is a fantastic application and I’m so glad it exists. It creates a community of people happy to translate short phrases and words nearly instantly for free in exchange for help.”
“Great app for asking questions of native speakers. I have a great time helping out others by answering their questions, and I always get at least one response for my questions about Spanish and Japanese.”
“Even if you don’t have any questions to ask others for an extended period of time, or you aren’t even learning a language, this app can be a great way to learn about things you never would have known about otherwise. Not to mention you can meet interesting people through it as well.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“You cannot post any sort of question without paying money, regardless of your contributions. This was not made clear up front nor even when selecting any of several post types; instead, it lets you type out what you want to ask or say and only when you click to post it does it tell you must pay.”
“A key flaw in this app is not understanding what some people are saying. If someone is writing a question in another language about English, how am I meant to understand and answer their question? Translations are needed.”
“Every time I open it, it says an error has occurred. When I click any functions, ‘error has occurred’ notice pops up. It only occurs occasionally, but this makes the app inconvenient.”
“Stupid app, idk about premium service but if you are free user, you don’t get answer, i post my question and wait for 4 hours, no one answered. Goodbye stupid app, learning is no waiting and u just make it harder for the learner.”
“They charge for the knowledge users give out for free. There is no lifetime subscription either, where you can pay once to be premium forever. The ONLY feature that is for free is that you can bookmark things. But guess what! You can’t even go to your bookmarks to see what you have bookmarked. What a joke.”
