What Users Love About the App
“My son loves this. It was a 7th birthday present — he loves chemistry and knows the periodic table in and out, and we’re long past getting a thrill out of a baking soda volcano. This is fantastic — like chemistry + legos + video games. It’s awesome. I would recommend going all in for the full set right at the start, though — I nearly did, and now I wish I had.”
“My 8 yr old LOVES this. He is very interested in science and before he even played with this for an hour, he was begging to get the complete set so he could do even more. Happy to see my child having so much fun pursuing educational fun.”
“My 7 year old granddaughter is in love with Happy Atoms. We will definitely purchase more!”
“Wow! Excellent learning tool and fun! Easy for the kids to understand and follow.”
“My kids love it the app and I love that they are learning.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“Image recognition is worthless and doesn’t offer a way to enter what you have manually or to correct what it failed to scan. It was even hard to get past calibration and was super frustrating. Too much “help” text, because the whole thing is super confusing.”
“We could not get past the calibration in the tutorial. My grandson, who is 10, and I could not get the app to scan the oxygen atom. My grandson became very frustrated. I am very disappointed as he loves Chemistry and Science. I thought this would be a fun learning adventure for him.”
“Cannot get app to accept pics taken of molecule in order to progress & use set as intended. Sent email requesting help to address provided in app store but received reply stating, “We’re writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (androidlist) may not exist, or you may not have permission to post messages to the group.”
“It wouldn’t recognize any of the atoms we tried scanning we are disappointed cause we had high hopes we will try and see if they have a customer service, still the set is fun to work with just the app is dysfunctional.”
“Can’t get through set up. Tried with multiple devices. Waste of money and time! Disappointing Christmas gift. Amazed creators allow app to remain up. Will be returning molecules. Could have been awesome!”
