Product Review of Happi Reads

Happi Reads is created to influence early readers by committing them in educator approved one-word reading activity. Every stage has an audio response and attractive motivation to “eat.” The app includes eight languages appropriate for school and for families engaging in learning a second language.

What Users Love About the App
“The app is easy to learn and fun to use. I liked that you could also learn many other languages by switching the flags on the home screen. Tapping the fruit to “eat” it was a fun reward!”
“I downloaded this app a few hours ago and my 3y.o. absolutely loves it! Easy, fun, educational! My daughter is playing the game over and over. It is so delightful to see her face shine upon completion of each step!”
“I love this app my 1 1/2 daughter took to this app and started to read the words saying and picking the right picture. Highly recommend it.”
“I’m happy with the game. My 5 year old enjoys it, and it’s fun practice for him… more enjoyable than flashcards. After they get 6 right they get to “eat” a piece of fruit.”
“Great way to practice reading for beginners.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“If the child chooses the wrong picture, there is not an error correction. So I am not sure how the app is teaching a child to learn to read because it does not teach the child the words. I would recommend this app for children who already know how to read, but not for children just learning to read.”
“I felt this app was ok. It was very easy to understand how to use. I had to turn off the music because it got annoying. I agree with the person who says it needs more if it is going to be a paid app.”
“For a priced app I would look for something more. There’s not much to it. Three cards are presented, a kid’s voice says the word on top, the user chooses which card matches the word. That’s it.”
“It worked great the first time. I thought my three-year-old grandchildren would love the chomping of the fruit, etc., when the answers are correct. Alas, no chomping the second time around. What happened to it?”
“This app could be greatly improved. The words are not in any order of difficulty so a beginner reader would have difficulty with a lot of the words. Also, the words are never spoken.”
