Product Review of Duck Duck Moose Reading

Join Milo the Meerkat and his buddy, Puffs, on a phonics learning adventure at the zoo. This game utilizes nine-word and letter activities to teach kids phonics while they feed and play with animals such as monkeys, lions, and so on. The app’s feedback system makes sure parents and educators are kept updated on their kid’s progress.
What Users Love About the App
“This app is so good. I’ve used it with kindergarten students in the classroom and haven’t seen them so excited to learn and play with any other app! It’s great for home or school. I definitely recommend it!”
“My 2-year-old son and I play this game together. Even though it’s meant for older children, she’s still learning her sounds and letters. She loves playing this game.”
“Duck Duck Moose Inc. has the most engaging, common core aligned apps for kindergarten on the market. My only complaint is the ability to add at least 5 users per iPad (unlimited would be great).”
“My daughters both enjoy this immensely. I’ve seen their phonics knowledge grow before my eyes. My favorite thing about this app is that chance plays little with it. You need to listen to instructions. Pushing random buttons won’t help you succeed. I also love the progress report given. As a homeschool mom, I can see which letters we need to work on.”
“My 4-year-old enjoys this game quite a bit. He loves to unlock new animals. He does get bored with it fast than some games, but he always comes back to it. He loves anything to do with Khan Academy or Duck Duck Moose!”
“I have an autistic son and he loves Duck Duck Moose and all the different apps associated with it. He even runs around the house repeating the game tune.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“I love Khan Academy and Duck Duck Moose. My son is learning a lot from it, but this app is frustrating. The instructions for these games are not working. It says, “feed the giraffe letters that make the ___ sound” but skips the actual sound. So, we don’t know what letters to select.”
“It keeps crashing, but I love it because our little ones love it. However, it’s a hassle to deal with it crashing. It’s sad to see our little ones lose all their achievement. I installed four games for this company and three of them crash all the time. It’s frustrating.”
“The app won’t open. My 4-year-old loves it, but the developers are apparently not going to fix any of their games. None of their games will open.”
“It worked temporarily but now crashes immediately. There is poor communication from the creator. All attempts at communication have not been responded to. I was very disappointed and unhappy.”
“It used to work fine with my current set–up. Now, it will only work under my profile. It no longer works with the child profile on the same device that uses the same account. Please fix this. It’s useless if it won’t work in a restricted profile.”
