Product Review of Crazy Cursive Letters Joined Up Writing

This app is ideal for helping kids learn new languages. It uses merged words to form new words. For every four words written accurately, a new fun character is unlocked. You can add “Top 100” words or your own.
What Users Love About the App
“The characters are great, and it’s a fun way to get children writing since they normally hate handwriting practice. They should get a big reward at the end, though.”
“Cursive writing is so tricky to learn and not something the kids usually find fun, so this is excellent. Perfect for the 6-9 age range.”
“Perfect for dyslexic children because it encourages flow, and it’s really fun! It has a good choice of letter styles, but the r is not quite right.”
“Even the snotty pens are FAB! It’s a funny app. I love the drawings and like that it has the option of UK English.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“We are using this app to help my daughter with her handwriting skills and it’s pretty good. But we have encountered some functionality problems—we can’t delete user profiles (our preschooler added 5 of her own) and can’t swap between users while still in the app. You need to quit and restart, which is annoying.”
“I can’t believe there is an app teaching kids the incorrect cursive letters. I can’t believe I paid for this thinking it was correct. I found out because my daughter said the words don’t have every letter, so I told her to do the word “box.” The “b” is wrong. I went through the lower case alphabet and found numerous letters are wrong. I didn’t even look at the upper case letters. No point. I told her this app is getting deleted. Waste of money.”
“The app is very misleading. It is marketed as an app your child can learn cursive with, but that is not the case—unless you want them to learn the incorrect way. Almost every letter is incorrect. Find a different app.”
“They should have more words and letters. This only gives us, like, four letters and you only have those words for the remainder of the game. I wish I could give it zero stars.”
