Product Review of Comic Book!

This app allows users to create a version of their favorite comic superheroes and villains. The app comes with a plethora of interfaces, which allow users to customize their creations using virtually every form of editing, such as picture filters and deception heading.

Website: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id436114747

What Users Love About the App

“Such a wonderful tool to create the comic you’ve always wanted to make. It’s true that not all the extras are free, but it was only after making over 50 professional pages that I decided to spend $1 on some of the extras. If you are creative and can learn, then this app is great. I couldn’t recommend it more.”

“I have been trying to make a comic boom since the early 1990s with zero success…until now. Comic Book! is THE go–to app for rendering my work. Since I can’t draw (even my lightbox tracing comes out terribly), I use 3-D models. The multiple effects to “art out” the pictures are wondering, and so are the numbers stickers available.”

“This app is amazing for making comics/collages! I have never had an issue with it. It is helpful with productivity and is not just for fun. I rely on this app. You can easily save your Page or export to Camera Roll which is critical. My kids love it, I love it. Please don’t ever wreck this app with an update! (That happens so often that I’m always afraid to update).”

“This app has been solid for so long. I love it. It inspires me to be more creative when I think of all the possibilities there are. I like to use other apps to develop images an import them. Nothing beats this app for layouts. I only wish they had an app for Mac OS! I use the app to make comic books for myself, family and friends.”

“I love this app! I didn’t realize how much until I deleted it and then couldn’t find it in the App Store because I had forgotten the name. I was so happy when I stumbled across it again! You can do so much with it.”

“This is a great, fun app. After talking to the developers, it is clear they are listening and adding features. My granddaughter liked the app, so we placed it on several devices, for the two of us. We have not experienced any crashes and have made at least 30 pages from our vacation and sent them back and forth. It is working great on a 64gig iPad 2 and a 16gig iPad 1.”

What Users Dislike About the App

“I was expecting so much more. It is not compatible with the iPhone X. Many of the menu options do not have easy navigation and this causes you to get stuck. I wish I could get a refund.”

“Yes this app easy and fun to use with its already accessible internet pictures, but there is a huge issue. While scrolling through the app myself, through the pictures provided by the app, I came across several pictures of naked women. I would highly suggest not downloading this app for young children because of these inappropriate photos they could run into.”

“Here’s something that should be fixed: put some order to the saved pages. Please! Twice now I have thought I lost pages because there is zero structure to the saved pages. Any time I have to collate, I’m forced to grab a piece of paper and write down every titled page number then sort them out beforehand. Here’s some things that aren’t as critical but should still be fixed: Make the “save as book” pages editable as well. More than once I have had to delete entire books because I was missing a page when collating. It gets frustrating when you can’t edit something as simple as the book page order.”

“Super handy app! 5 stars for sure. At the same time, however, I have a few suggestions for some features the developers might consider to better the app in the next version. 1) Photos cannot be cropped in this app. We must crop and adjust them before we add them to the comic blocks. 2) I suppose the developer designed this app mostly for English users since the captions come out in weird sizes if I type in Chinese or Japanese characters. Also, the Chinese character font types are not adjustable. Title captions can only be used in English. If the developers could fix that, it would be wonderful. 3) Captions only go in one direction (left to right). If you can provide a top to bottom direction, that would be great. 4) Captions can’t be tilted or rotated. 5) Only one font type can be selected per caption, which means I can’t highlight one or several words within a sentence. 6) Stickers can only be flipped vertically as of now. Overall, this is a great app. I hope the developers can fix the Chinese and Japanese characters problem soon. I know that many people like to type characters in the comics to make it look cooler.”

“In the rare attempts where I’ve succeeded in completing a project with this app, it was amazing. However, as it is right now, the app is completely frustrating. Not only does it constantly crash, but it seems to crash at the very end when you are almost done with your project. It makes you lose everything and forces you start all over from scratch. There isn’t even a way to save your work as you go to prevent this from happening. Rebooting and restarting the app seems to make no difference at all. One thing that seems to help a little is using smaller file sized photos. Even when I do this it will sometimes randomly crash, although it does so less frequently. Please fix this issue! This app would be amazing if it worked properly. I would give it 5 stars if it didn’t constantly crash.”
