Product Review of Code Avengers

This platform teaches advanced levels of learners to program using real code. It includes immersive courses that teach web and app development as well as languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Teachers get real-time feedback, alerting them to areas where learners might require assistance. It is most useful for learners at the high school and higher levels who want to learn to program.

What Users Love About the App
“Free demo courses. Tracks for kids, adults, and educators. Built-in text editor and quizzes. Responsive customer support.”
“They have a few different courses available (HTML/CSS, Javascript, Python, etc.) with video lessons and reference guides to use as resources throughout. The lessons are broken down into manageable modules. It’s quick and easy to learn the basics, and the interface allows you to track your progress, motivating you to push through the course even if you only have smaller chunks of time available. They break down the concepts well and each lesson builds well upon previous ones. They also have lessons dedicated to fixing code and finding bugs which was a useful skill to work on.”
“I am a programmer with 10+ years of experience and I find Code Avengers absolutely amazing for kids and beginners. There are a few things that I would change but it’s just me and my preferences. Overall, it’s a great opportunity to understand basics and start your career.”
“Super easy and intuitive platform! It made the lessons so fun and engaging to learn. I can’t wait to confidently code and become an expert.”
“I was really overwhelmed thinking about coding, then I realized the lessons were so much more than that. I learned so easily and it really helped me up-skill in my job. Highly recommend!”
“A great interface for people of all ages. Not only does Code Avengers offer child-friendly learning (lots of fun and is largely interactive), but it has also helped me up-skill so that I can take my career further. I’ve found that digital tech skills are something you can’t put a price on these days. In 5-10 years I’m looking forward to seeing how my newfound skills in Web development help me progress beyond employees working for the same company.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“Compared to many other paid learning resources, Code Avengers currently has a limited number of courses to choose from.”
“I would like to see them go more in-depth with the content. The site is set up well and could easily lend itself to more advanced learning, but at present only targets very foundational concepts. Additionally, there were a few bugs within the lessons themselves—some of the lessons did not compile properly. The support team was friendly and helpful, but they took a while to respond. The quizzes should also tell you the correct answers, or have a way to check what the answers were so they can be used as a reference and checkpoint. They were not always easy to follow or input. Depending on the browser used, the interface itself had issues sometimes.
“Slightly more expensive for slightly fewer features than the competition. It also lacks community forums.”
