Product Review of Chess Free

This chess app can help if you want to develop your skills as a beginner or pro. It has 12 levels of difficulty, ranging from novice to expert. It runs on the Treebeard engine, an AI that mimics human reasoning (same as in Microsoft’s MSN Chess). The Chess Tutor suggests moves you might want to explore without necessarily forcing your hand. Rated among the top 600 chess apps.

What Users Love About the App
“It’s fun. I don’t like a lot of chess or strategy games online, but I’ve used this for quite a while. Different levels make it fun for a chess master or beginner. My son is 13 and loves playing on here. We play on a board at home, but this game has helped him learn so much. He beats me every now and then. I highly recommend this app.”
“I originally rated this app 4/5 because I thought I couldn’t play online. The developer contacted me and explained how to play online. I changed my review to a 5/5. This is a great app. Not only can you play online but there are so many levels to choose from to play against the computer, from beginner to expert. I’m sure everyone can find a level that challenges them. There are also many options for board and piece selection.”
“Excellent learning game. Have you always wanted to learn chess but just couldn’t get it on your own? This is the game for you. It has an excellent learning model that makes it challenging while you learn strategy. Have you won your first chess game yet?”
“Great app, functional and easy to use. Many additional functions like recording, suggestions, and skipping move back when you have completed a game so you can analyze different options you could have taken. I am glad I downloaded this.”
“Please don’t change a thing with your chess game, it is perfect! Chess Free is clear and user-friendly. The pieces are perfect in color and shape, and the board is perfect in color and layout. The designer is brilliant. Leave this chess game alone, no changes are needed!”
What Users Dislike About the App
“Hello, thank you for the game. Kindly start a timer for multiple players. A lot of players disappear in the middle of the game, which leaves the opponent waiting. This is a waste of time. Thank you. It is so disappointing to see that players leave the match when their queen is going to die, there’s no sportsmanship. The people don’t even have the guts to complete the game. I would like to tell all those players that you can win the game even if you don’t have the queen. Believe in yourself!”
“I love the appearance and some of the features, but not the timer. I suggest that players choose between rapid chess or a custom game. The person who fails to move within times gets a random move by the CPU made in rapid mode. This is so that the game can continue.”
“Outstanding app! One flaw, though: when I click the icon to play, it goes to the start-up then back to the desktop. It does this even after multiple attempts at clicking the icon. If this isn’t fixed, I’ll have to play with another app.”
“Really enjoyed this straightforward chess app because it got me so interesting in the game. I’ve had it for years and never minded the ads until the sound kept turning on no matter how many times I muted them. However, the latest ad to appear does not even appear big enough on the screen for me to close. It’s still there. The game is sadly unplayable now.”
