Product Review of Bridge Basher

This game lets you build bridges in seconds and then destroy them. Watch your bridge react to damaging forces in real-time, courtesy of an advanced physics engine. Build bridges using the editor and correct errors using the undo button. Only the best bridge builders make it to the leaderboards. Areas of immense stress on your bridge appear in red while others are shown in green. You can share your bridge designs with your friends via email.

What Users Love About the App
“Each app this developer makes is better than the last. He really is honest when he says “realistic physics.” His games are pleasant to play for a few minutes or for a few hours. Either way, you are in for a treat.”
“This game is highly addictive and entertaining. Trying to build a bridge that can hold up to the “Impossible Load” is a challenge in itself. When you see the high scores and wonder “how on earth did they do that?” you go back to find alternative ways of getting the letter trains across. I enjoyed it.”
“The beginning stages of what will turn out to be a superb game when filled in a bit more. It brings back very fond memories of the old Pontifex game for PCs. Keep up the good work, Andrew, I hope you’ll bring this one along even further.”
“I have gotten this game several times and deleted it and added it back again. I love this game and have been Builder Of The Day. It could use an update because whenever I touch “begin test” it goes to my home screen. It has happened many times before with other apps. Fix this and you got my money!”
“I got it way back when it first showed up in FAAD. It is one of the best apps I have gotten and it is always challenging and entertaining. The comments also tend to be funny.”
“This is a great game. I play it with my son and he really enjoys it. Meanwhile, he’s seeing some math, physics, and engineering in action. It is better than mindless tapping, this game requires some thought. Great job developers, keep ’em coming!”
What Users Dislike About the App
“This game needs some serious exceptions handling. You need to fix the problem where big bridges crash. I guess it has something to do with a data type that you have that is smaller than what it should be. This needs to be fixed so it can be playable.”
“This game is worth the price. It could be worth about $5.99 if they just had different levels. The land is always the same! I would like different land to work with. Some far away, some on different heights. To make this game rock, they need to make it so the bridge holds itself up by what’s attached to the ground on both sides of the bridge. Or even, dare I say it, the ground under the bridge. Please, developers. Listen to my cry!”
“It is a great app that is just amazing. I am going to be taking physics soon so it should come in handy. I would like to see more parts (curved), an option for more pegs (bigger bridges), and possibly different materials and hinges (stationary hinge or mobile hinge) added. Also, an option to teather the two parts you can put on the two sides so that they don’t move would be nice.”
“Good little app. Not much to it, though: once you’ve built a sturdy bridge, that’s it, there’s nothing more for you to do in this app. The game could use multiple levels with variety, perhaps it could require you to build longer bridges, sloped bridges, or something like that. Also, there should be more “pixels” on the screen, so that you can have more variety in where you place the tension points of your bridge beams. All winning bridges kind of look the same, because there simply aren’t enough ways you can vary the design of a winning bridge. Once you figure out how to build it, you’re basically done with the app. The great physics engine, very realistic, good use of color to indicate stress on your beams just before they break. If you’re easily offended, the messages you get when you build a bad bridge, and it breaks easily, might bother you because they’re really insulting!”
