Product Review of Bloxels EDU

Using this app, learners are the writers, editors, and designers of their unique stories. This app is only available to educators using the Bloxels platform. Students can modify every part of their story and character; they can even build games using features that are available on the app. Students can interact and cooperate with their classmates about ideas to develop their concepts. Progress can be monitored from the Hub.

What Users Love About the App
“It is awesome! I think the character lab is easy. I love it from top to bottom, it’s worth paying $20.”
“I love this game. Thanks to Bloxels, I finally got to put my ideas in a playable form and share them with the world! It only cost me $20, which isn’t THAT much to me.”
“AMAZING. If you look at this as a $20 game instead of a free game with a $20 barrier, it is something amazing.”
“It is very nice and super cool, maybe even better than the original. You don’t need to shoot particles and you can change the physics of your characters. The background windows can be animated, finally! Most of all, you have a fall animated, multiple animation slots, no gems, and sharing the game online is easier now! For the people who won’t like the $20 dollar fee, that’s like complaining about a Nintendo Switch game being $60. This is five stars!”
“I love this game because I love making my own things. I have Mario Maker 2, but now I can make whatever I want. I love the animations; they make this game even better. Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy to use. This game is excellent. I give it five stars.”
“Using this app, I was able to make any of my fantasies come to life! My siblings and I consider this studio to be the best present we ever got. I can understand why people complain about the limited space, but for me, it only challenges me to be creative and find unique ways to express myself. I can also see how having to buy the set to get an account is annoying, but it has no ads. That makes up for it.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“When I was younger, I got the starter kit for my birthday. I loved creating games on it when it was new. When I downloaded the app years later, I found my account had been deleted and I now must pay an expensive amount of money for a new account. All the games I had made and published were gone. You can no longer make games for free, which was the whole point of the game!”
“What happened with Bloxels? I remember that this game was super fun when I first got the board game and earlier version of the app. I thought it would be great to play it again after all these years of not playing, but with this new version, you need an account to build and share—this will cost you $20! I don’t know what kind of nonsense you were thinking, but please change it. I want to build and play my own levels again.”
“I got a starter kit a while ago and hadn’t used Bloxels for a couple of years. Now, I can’t use the app and build for free. To build, you need to pay $20 to just use the app. I need to get an account code to use the app again since I’ve already purchased the starter kit once.”
“Why do we need to buy an account to build? I understand you need an account to share builds, but why can’t you build without an account? Also, an account is $20 dollars! Why? I remember the old app; it was so fun. If I could, I would totally get the old app. The only reason I give 2 stars instead of 1 is that you can at least play the games other players post and there are no ads.”
“No! This game has changed way too much, now you need to pay to get an account. $40 for an account? 0 stars, I hate it. I used to love it, back when it was a simple build-a-platform kind of game.”
“I will not buy an account just to build in this game. The kit I bought must have been a joke. You need to look at the reviews, a lot of customers are angry. Why can’t they get things straight? You’re doing it all backward. You are money hungry too because these kits aren’t cheap, and you have the $20 price tag on getting an account. That only makes sense if you’re going to sell a product, not make a game. How is that good business? It is a scam.”
