What Users Love About the App
“The two greatest advantages is that it is broad in scope and each lesson has several resources attached to it, as opposed to most Google searches that return one resource at a time.”
“TES Teach with Blendspace is a great way to put all of a unit’s materials together for students to access and use. It solves the problem of students wandering off into other areas online, getting distracted and going off task.”
“It allows me to incorporate many different resources in the proper sequence every time I teach a lesson. It solves my problem of forgetting or skipping some resources, projects, ideas.”
“It will save a ton of classroom time not having to open and track so many browsers. The embedding process is so easy.”
“There is such an ease of use. I signed up and started using it within 5 minutes. I love that everything is IN the program so you can embed YouTube videos, links, documents, etc. so easily and quickly.”
“It solves the problem of “writer’s block.” If you are have trouble being creative you can use this product to give you ideas for your lessons.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“Better assessment tools would be great to use. I would also like to see the data more easily.”
“I would feel that the products were actually helpful if they had help resources for teachers that could be customized to their needs.”
“3D interactive images to be uploaded and programmed. The labeling of items should be easy, but it’s not. Personal notes on the computer screen but they are not on display.”
“One thing I didn’t like about TES Teach with Blendspace is that I couldn’t preview the resources until after I put them into the project. I would like to be able to see them easily without having to go to another window.”
“First, some sort of lesson overview for how the pieces fit together would be great. I often don’t know how long each piece is supposed to take. Teachers often don’t use the description feature either, so I have no idea how a resource is meant to be used. A lesson overview to give context to the resources would be nice. Second, some tags or alignment standards to search by would be nice. The lessons in the library are sorted by subject, but it would be nice to also search by grade level or standard. Third, private messaging should be enabled.”
“I have several students this year with special needs who would emotionally shut down if I or another student made a public comment to them. I would love to be able to provide comments without always having to have them be universal.”
