What Users Love About the App
“Albert.io is a great study source. It’s definitely something that I’ve used for many of my AP classes, including Psych and Calculus AB, and SAT subject tests (Chemistry). I find the practice tests on that site to be pretty helpful in terms of getting free extra practice for my classes, which is always a good thing. Practice makes perfect!”
“I used Albert.io for AP classes like Calculus AB (our teacher made us use it), and it was actually pretty helpful. The questions were similar to those on the AP exam. I never used it for SAT prep, but at least for calc, it was pretty good.”
“I used Albert for AP Chemistry and it was extremely helpful. Their explanations are all written but they’re very good in my opinion; I’ve never had problems with finding out why I got a question wrong. I ended up with an A in the class and felt really confident on the AP exam. As for SAT and ACT, I’m not sure of the quality but I’d assume it’s just as good. They make their own questions, and when I was grinding for AP Chem I found that the questions were very high level. In short, it’s really good for AP Chem and probably just as good for SAT prep.”
“The Albert tool offers the best solution for AP or ACT prep by helping to practice skills and knowledge. The questions in Albert are highly rated which is something that helps students get authentic practice and helps them understand what is required for these important assessments.”
“Albert offers many options for personalized learning and the tool offers more teacher control for small groups or differentiated assignments.”
What Users Dislike About the App
“It didn’t help much with social science courses and is probably better suited for a subject like Calc or Bio. I found EdX to be a far better resource for my AP prep since the site offers college-level instruction and practice materials for free. Some of my teachers didn’t sign up for Albert (despite my incessant begging), so thank god I had a no-cost backup plan. I ended up getting a 5 on the AP Government exam just using the practice tests from an EdX course. This saved me from spending a lot of money on Albert and all the cram courses I considered buying.”
“Albert.io basically just gives standard AP multiple choice questions organized by section. So, if you want to take a practice test on a chapter or just answer some more mildly confusing AP questions, the site will work well. However, don’t expect Albert.io to actually teach you anything.”
“My issue with this app is that I don’t think the platform itself is [prepared] for the massive amounts of students using it. When you’re trying to turn something in that’s due at night and you keep getting a 502 error, it’s very frustrating because the issue is not on your end.”
“I love how teachers assign us obscene amounts of Albert.io questions and still expect us to review and learn from each of them.”
