Product Review of ABC MAGIC

Help your kid master phonology and pronunciation by using this app. Kids can choose to either match letters to pictures or pictures to letters. This activity helps them associate letters with their most popular pronunciation. Both the letters and pictures have touch-activated sound features to help kids learn and retain each lesson.

What Users Love About the App
“This is a wonderful app for struggling readers! I am using it in the classroom for students who need a slower pace to get to master some letter sounds.”
“It is so simple and straightforward that it doesn’t confuse the child! I am a certified Montessori teacher and this app is definitely one I recommend parents use at home. It isolates the sounds and has beautiful visual aids. It’s just perfect!”
“This is a great app. For once we see a product get the educational concept of the alphabet and letter recognition RIGHT! Most presentations of the alphabet use capital letters and teach children the name of the letters. WRONG! Reading involves almost all lower case letters and in the process of learning to read, and reading itself, we never say the name of the letter. It is the sound that is important. This app presents the alphabet in the exact way that early learners need in order to learn it. It naturally leads to the next step of putting the sounds together to form words and then read.”
“I am a first grade teacher and I thought this was a good app, especially for struggling students or preschoolers. As for the previous review about fox for x…you don’t hear the / x / sound at the beginning of any words in English. It only is heard at the end of a word or syllable.”
“This app teaches letters and their sounds using pictures. It is clear and straightforward, with no distractions. It has two levels of letter learning and one matching game where children can match pictures to letters. It has helped the children in my class learn their letter sounds. Please keep making more apps and updates!”
What Users Dislike About the App
“The app is a good idea but it has flaws. The man, woman, and child voices pronounce letter sounds differently. Some of the sounds said by the child voice are incorrect. It would be better if the letter was announced without having to press a separate button. There is no option to cycle through continuously without having to swipe.”
“Now my 4 year old is telling me fox starts with X! This app has wrong information, don’t waste your time!”
“Before giving your kid this game, go to the letter “X” and see for yourself. This game taught my daughter to say the F word.”
“Child can build skills with it, but there is no sound for some reason.”
“The sound that N makes randomly appears as yeuh not nnn.”
“I just can’t figure out what sound the kid was making for the letter L. I played it over and over and it does not sound at all like the phonics for L.”
