In the world of online gaming, communication is key, and Among Us is no exception. While the popular game does not have a built-in voice chat feature, players can still communicate with each other through third-party applications. In this article, we will discuss how to use voice chat in Among Us effectively and improve your gameplay experience.

1. Choose a Third-Party Voice Chat App:

There are several voice chat applications that players use while playing Among Us. Some popular options include Discord, TeamSpeak, and Mumble. Discord is the most widely used app because it is user-friendly and offers seamless integration with the game. However, feel free to explore other applications if you prefer.

2. Set Up Your Voice Chat:

Once you’ve chosen a voice chat application, follow these steps:

– Download and install the application on your device.

– Create an account or log in.

– Set up a new server or join an existing one related to Among Us. This will be your communication hub during the game.

– Invite fellow players to your server by sharing the invite link or sending an invitation directly.

3. Connect Your Voice Chat to Among Us:

For smooth integration with the game, you may need to delve into some settings within both your voice chat app and the game itself.

– Launch Among Us on your device.

– Make sure that both Among Us and your selected voice chat app are running on the same device.

– Adjust both the app and game audio levels so that you can hear your teammates clearly without compromising in-game sounds.

4. Establish Ground Rules:

To make cooperation more effective and enjoyable for all participants, it’s important to establish ground rules. These may include:

– Limiting conversation only when necessary during gameplay.

– Avoiding speaking during specific parts of the game such as voting discussions or dead players who must remain silent.

– Using text chat for important information that might require a written reference later on.

5. Muting and Unmuting:

As a courtesy to your fellow players, it’s essential to mute your microphone when you are not speaking. This will prevent any background noise from interfering with the game experience. Familiarize yourself with how to mute and unmute within the voice chat app.

6. Coordination and Strategy:

Maximize the potential of voice chat by using it to coordinate with teammates, discuss strategies, and share vital information such as suspicious activities, potential impostor sightings, or confirming tasks completed.

In conclusion, using voice chat adds a new dimension to playing Among Us and makes it even more entertaining. By following the guide above, you’ll be able to enhance communication in your Crewmate or Impostor endeavors and take your gaming experience to the next level. Remember always to respect other players during voice chat sessions and have fun!
