Whether you’re a cannabis enthusiast or simply looking for an innovative and fun way to smoke, making a waterfall bong can serve as an exciting and easy DIY project. Follow these eight steps to create your own waterfall bong from the comfort of home.

1. Gather materials: To make a waterfall bong, you will need a plastic bottle (500ml or 2 liters), a lighter, a small metal socket from a wrench set (1/4″ or 3/8″), scissors or a sharp knife, and some aluminum foil.

2. Cut hole in bottle: Using scissors or a sharp knife, carefully cut a small hole slightly larger than the diameter of the socket in the side of the bottle, about halfway up from the bottom.

3. Attach socket: Push the socket halfway through the hole you made in step 2, using it as a bowl for your cannabis. Apply a bit of pressure to secure it, ensuring there are no gaps for air leaks.

4. Form aluminum foil screen: Cut out a small square piece of aluminum foil and gently push it down inside the socket, forming it around the socket walls like a mesh screen. This will prevent any ground cannabis from falling into the water later on.

5. Fill bottle with water: Remove the plastic cap from your bottle and fill it with water until about two inches below where you inserted the socket.

6. Pack your cannabis: Grind your desired amount of cannabis and pack it into the aluminum foil screen that was placed inside the socket in step 4.

7. Light your cannabis: Hold one finger over the mouth of the bottle to prevent water from escaping while lighting your cannabis with the lighter. Remove your finger so that smoke fills up inside of the bottle.

8. Empty water and enjoy: Once smoke has filled within the bottle, move to your preferred smoking location (such as a sink or outdoor area) and uncover the hole at the bottom of your bottle. Gravity will force water out, and smoke will escape from the mouth of the bottle. Inhale deeply from the mouth while water is draining to enjoy your waterfall bong experience.
