How to Change Age on YouTube

In the age of social media, people increasingly use YouTube for entertainment, education, and even work. As a result, it’s crucial to have accurate personal information on your YouTube account, including your age. This article will guide you through the process of changing your age on YouTube in a few simple steps.

Before diving into the steps, it is important to note that changing your age on YouTube will also change your age across Google services such as Google Photos or Google Pay because YouTube uses your Google account to access this data.

Step 1: Sign in to your Google account:

Firstly, head over to google.com and sign in with the email address associated with your YouTube account. If you have multiple accounts, make sure you’re signing in with the right one.

Step 2: Access your Google Account settings:

On the top right corner of the Google homepage, click on your profile picture or initial. This will open a menu with options related to your account. Click on “Manage your Google Account.”

Step 3: Navigate to Personal Info:

Once you’re in the “Google Account” settings page, select “Personal Info” from the left navigation menu.

Step 4: Edit your birthdate:

Scroll down until you find the “Birthday” section under “Basic info.” Click on the pencil icon next to it to edit this information.

Step 5: Update your birthdate:

Enter a new birthdate using the dropdown menus for day, month, and year. Then click “Update” or “Save” to finalize changes.

Step 6: Verify changes

To make sure that the changes have been applied successfully, return to Personal Info and check if the updated birthdate is now displayed in the Birthday section.

That’s it! Your age should now be updated on YouTube as well as other connected Google services. Please be aware that changing your age on YouTube may restrict or allow access to specific content, depending on the age requirements set by video creators or YouTube itself.

In summary, changing your age on YouTube involves signing in to your Google Account, navigating to Personal Info settings, editing your birthdate, and saving the changes. It’s a simple process that ensures you have the right access and information connected to your account.
