3 Ways to Roast Chicken Breast in the Oven

Introduction:

Roasting chicken breast in the oven is a versatile and delicious cooking method that’s perfect for busy weeknights or more elaborate weekend meals. Try these three unique ways to roast chicken breast in the oven and uncover new flavors with each method.

1. Classic Lemon Herb Roasted Chicken Breast

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– 2 lemons

– 3 cloves of garlic, minced

– 2 teaspoons dried thyme

– 2 teaspoons dried rosemary

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– Olive oil

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a small bowl, combine the juice of one lemon, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.

3. Rub each chicken breast with olive oil and then the lemon herb mixture.

4. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish.

5. Slice the remaining lemon and place slices on top of the chicken breasts.

6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

7. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

2. Balsamic Glazed Chicken Breast

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– Olive oil

– 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar

– 1/4 cup honey

– 2 cloves of garlic, minced

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Season both sides of each chicken breast with salt and pepper.

3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.

4. Sear each chicken breast for about two minutes per side.

5. In a separate bowl, mix together balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic.

6. Pour the balsamic mixture over the chicken breasts in the skillet.

7. Bake for 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

8. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.

3. Prosciutto-Wrapped Stuffed Chicken Breast

Ingredients:

– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

– Salt and pepper, to taste

– 1/2 cup cream cheese or goat cheese

– 1/4 cup sundried tomatoes, chopped

– 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

– 8 slices of prosciutto

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Use a sharp knife to butterfly each chicken breast horizontally.

3. Season the inside with salt and pepper.

4. In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese or goat cheese with sundried tomatoes and chopped basil.

5. Stuff each chicken breast with approximately two tablespoons of the cheese mixture.

6. Wrap two slices of prosciutto around each stuffed chicken breast.

7. Place the wrapped chicken breasts in a baking dish, seam side down.

8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

9. Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
